Dermatologist advised all day use of compression socks to help reduction of pedal edema and stasis dermatitis. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort experienced over several days wear on a trip as well as significant reduction in swelling by nightfall. Do not need persuasion now to wear this type of hosiery regularly for long spans of time.

Im a 47 year old make diabetic type 2. I have edema(swelling) in my feet and legs. My doctor gave me a prescription for a pair and they were expensive(2 pairs [$]!) and "okay". These are more comfortable and last a lot longer. I even wear them all night long. They do make u perspire though so i use diabetic foot powder. Ive bought quite a number of pairs and still have the first pair after 2 years!
