I work at a college and we need to destroy carbon copies of registration forms. Instead of waiting and shredding a bunch at a later date, I thought I could use these for a few at a time. I tried them out and they work great. The handle is made of plastic so they are light weight. I don't know if they would be strong enough to cut throught credit cards or more than 6 sheets of paper. If you need to shred a credit card bill, they would be great. They seem like they would last for a few years at least.

Arthritic hands may have problems with this because you need hand pressure to cut through paper and the scissors is bulky. I use it when I'm opening mail and need to throw away mail with my account number or sensitive information on it. I only cut up the necessary part since the item is too heavy to continuously use on full sheets of paper. (That's when I need to use the regular shredder.) This tucks away neatly in my kitchen drawer. I like it.

This pair of shredder scissors work as good as any shredder. They cut multiple pieces of paper at once, whereas any shredder will get stuck with alot of paper. Cost-effective too.

I use the product mainly to shred gummy labels from prescription bottles, and address labels from magazines and catalogs. It does a great job of shredding these especially if you fold the gummy labels together before cutting. This makes cleaning the scissors a breeze. I am buying another pair to have in my truck while on the road.

my current shredder had a problem with thicker cards and these scissors took care of the shredding needed. these would be helpful to those who cannot afford a power shredder. everyone can benefit from this product to help protect personal information.
