I am in the midst of cataract surgery. These glasses allow me to adjust my (insulin) syringe better, thread needles, and sometimes even read better. They are cheaply constructed, but are good enough (at that price). GREAT for occasional use. If you need glasses all the time, buy yourself more expensive "regular" glasses. I am ordering some more of different magnification (to try also).

Thanks to the reasonable price, toddlers grabbing them is a no worry situation. You can gently retrieve without scaring the child and they are strong enough where they are usually intact. A more expensive set you would probably scare the child for fear of being saddled with a large bill. I have ten grandchildren including two toddlers and speak from experience.

I had cataract operation on both eyes. My Rx glasses were a disappointment. I purchased my set of three - One pair for reading my newspaper, one for my "reading room" and one just in case I break a pair. I also purchased a second set and gave them to a friend.

For the price you can't beat these glasses. I normally use 1.25 magnification but for that dug in splinter or small model that I may be working on the 2.5 and 4.0 power are great. I'd suggest if you buy two different powers - get two different frames...
