I have lived up north and plan to again but this leather coat would never keep me warm in a cold climate state . The leather is too thin and the quality not great. I would never recommend this coat to anyone.

I find this coat is actually versatile enough for all year-round. It's made very well, warm and after 2 or more years of wearing it on and off, it has held up wonderfully. This was an unexpected "great buy" for the price. The attached hood was a lifesaver on rainy days.

I bought 3 coats for the fall/winter and this is the one I end up wearing 85% of the time.The pockets are a little "plain" but they are big and very useful.
