    I thought they were leather; they are vinyl. I cannot wear vinyl shoes without getting blisters. They felt comfortable on, but I returned them as I need leather or cloth atheletic shoes with maybe some vinyl trim on the toe. I did not want blisters when I walk or run. They were a light weight shoe with good support.
