Although I describe myself as a conservative dresser, I ordered these shoes in RED, and they certainly brighten up any drab outfit. They're less confining than lace-up sneakers and the strap gives better support than plain flats. The only drawbacks are that, like most canvas shoes, they don't have much padding or arch support.
