Works as advertised, except you need more than 'gentle' pressure. Smashes the pineapple a bit, but does come out in one long spiral. You can use the leftover shell for a pineapple cup. Make sure you get it started very straight, or it's an exercise in frustration.

There needs to be more specific directions on how to get the slices out of the outer shell and not get the core caught in the devise. Will definitely be buying more pineapple now that I can slice so easy.
