This little owl is perfect for announcing when guests arrive. It's little whoo is loud enough to hear throughout the house but not too loud to be obnoxious. It's also a great conversation piece as everyone who comes into the house is fascinated by it. Love it a lot!

While they really don't keep away the other birds or varmits, the turtle doves think they are friend ship calls. We've had neighbors walking by our house looking for the birds that won't be quiet.

Works only at extremely short range -- like if right next to a tomato plant which waves in the wind or if I move the watering can within 3-5 inches of the motion detector. Birds sit right next to it on a bar I rigged up for hanging tomatoes and fertilize the tomatoes! It might be OK as a toy to entertain a child or a cat -- or a bird, but you'd need one for every plant in a garden.

Keeps the birds out of the garden and now I don't have to worry about the birds eating my plants.

I bought this Owl because there are a lot of birds and their nests around my house and they can get very noisy at times so this helps as a deterent sometimes, except when the wind blows it hoots alot. I think it helps to keep the cats away maybe . There are so many inbred cats on my block and I will keep using the Owl to hopefully keep the cats off my porch area . Thanks.
